Usgovernmentauctions.net Review – Is Usgovernmentauctions.net a Scam

 Usgovernmentauctions.net Review – Is Usgovernmentauctions.net a Scam?

I hate to start out negative when I am reviewing a site but some sites make it impossible for me not to be negative. This site usgovernmentauctions.net is a website that seems to be in the auction business. I mean if you take it at face value and use the name to judge what is going on, on the site it would seem it would be a fair assumption that this was an auction site.

Well it is not an auction site. It is an information site. According to Wikipedia, the online auction business model is one in which participants bid for products and services over the internet. It is a site that you go to and join and then get information in return. The information that you get will be about auctions, government auctions to be specific. One thing to note however is that usually the information is viable and can be a real time saver if you’re looking for a deal. Probably the most popular auction listing service on the web is Auctionresource.org so you may want to check them out also.

About Usgovernmentauctions.net

Now is there anything specifically wrong with this website? No, it just so happens that I do not like this type of business. I find this type of business akin to snake oil salesman from days of the old west. The problem I have with this site is that the information that you are paying for is widely available for free. The people that run this site do not have any more rights to auction information than anyone else does.

I get it some people do not want to do the research on their own which makes this service valuable, but I think it should be presented as such not presented like some top secret location where government agencies post their secret auction dates online.

The Site

Well frankly the site is well laid out, it is user friendly. Of course I did not get to peek at the data base because I was not a paying member and have no interest in becoming one. There is contact information that is clearly posted which I like in case I have questions that the FAQ page does not answer.

Suggestions

I think I would like this site better if instead of posing as one thing the owners of the site were just honest and said on the landing page here is what we do and how we do it. I like honesty and I like being able to know what I am getting into right up front.

You should not offer something for free that is not free. Even if it does only cost $1 it still is not free! They offer a free subscription that is actually $1 to activate! That to me is not free.

Costs

The subscription price after your “free” 7 day trial is $38.90 per month.

I think if you need this information and you do not want to do the research yourself than this may be an option for you! I think if you have the time you should do it yourself.

Subscription Price: $38.90 per month
Number of Items: information
Geographical Location: Nationwide

Overall, the Usgovernmentauction.net review shows that this is a legit site and is not a scam, however if you are looking for a source to find deals online a more popular choice is AuctionResource.org.
